Are Your Children Starting to Loose Their Teeth? Make it a Special Event and Give Them Their Own Personalized Tooth Fairy Pillow
It is very exciting when a child looses their first tooth. The anticipation, the tooth becomes loose and finally falls out, and then the tooth goes in the pocket of a tooth fairy pillow. At night while the child is sleeping the tooth fairy comes and takes the tooth from the tooth fairy pillow and leave a surprise behind in its place.
We all tell our children stories of how the tooth fairy will leave them money if they put their tooth in the tooth fairy pillow over night. It makes it exciting for them to loose their teeth and get new ones, which can otherwise be a little scary. One way to have even more fun with this time in your child's life is to give them a special, personalized tooth fairy pillow. Go ahead and make a big deal out of it. After all it is a very important change in growing-up. They are loosing their baby teeth and getting their adult teeth that they will have for the rest of their life.
A personalized tooth fairy pillow can either be bought or easily made from an existing pillow. You might want to have your child's name embroidered onto the pillow. Adding lace or a trim will dress it up as well. You could also have a design silk screened or embroidered onto the fabric of the pillow. A simple, small pocket is usually sewn onto the front of the pillow, this is where the tooth will go and the money that the tooth fairy brings.
Often a tooth fairy pillow will be small. Something that will either sit on the side of the bed or be snuggled by your child while they sleep. This makes it easier to exchange the money for the tooth because your child's head won't be resting on top of the pillow and therefore the tooth. This is also good because your children can use the pillow as a snuggle toy every night over the years that they are losing their teeth. It is something soft to cuddle up to during the night and it will bring even more magic to this time in their lives.
